Payment schedule for H&C clients

After you sign the retainer, you will receive an invoice for the full application balance, plus HST/GST depending on the provincial rate. However, you can pay it in portions:

1. $2,000 is the minimum deposit for us to start preparing your application.
2. $2,000 of your invoice must be paid once you have uploaded 95% of all documents (including your personal statement) to our Dropbox (you are only waiting for 1-2 extra documents). At this point, we start processing/organizing your documents and will draft your affidavit (your personal story in legal format).
3. $2,000 of your invoice must be paid ****once we advance the case to the last stage (submission letter writing and finalizing/uploading documents for submission).
4. Before we submit your file online, the remainder of our processing fees, plus the government fees, must be paid. In some exceptional circumstances, we will submit your file if you have paid at least 80% of our processing fees.

(The above amounts per stage are based on a single applicant and may be more if you are applying with more people. In some exceptional circumstances, we can arrange a monthly payment plan.)

If you want to start an application for a relative who is not your spouse, or for a child over 22 years old, this has to be a fully separate application. In this case, we give a $500 discount for your relative if you agree to be the main person of communication/contact for them.
